Facsimile edition of the catalog from the first architecture exhibition held at MoMA in 1932, which constitutes a fundamental milestone in the history of architecture
This catalog is more of a manifesto than a catalog, a testimony to the exhibition that, in 1932, inaugurated MoMA's Department of Architecture.
The need to rethink and reevaluate Modernism in contemporary times justifies the initiative of publishing a facsimile edition of this fundamental catalog, enhanced with an appendix that gathers critical texts by Barry Bergdoll, curator of architecture and design at MoMA, and Delfim Sardo, university professor, curator, and essayist.
The edition is produced in partnership with the Lisbon Architecture Triennale and MoMA.
