The canaries are painted with an airbrush. The black – rusty branches, where they land, are unique, produced in foundry with sand molds.
Each piece is accompanied by a piece for its fixing, which also allows it to be placed on the wall or suspended. Allows a variety of positions.
The corrugated cardboard box is wrapped with a paper strap that contains the illustration and synopsis of the short story “The Canaries of Atlantis”. It tells the story of the formation of the islands of the Azores, Madeira and the Canary Islands, based on the famous legend of the lost continent: Atlantis. Translated into Portuguese and English.
Laboratório d’Estórias is an experimental design space that aims to use popular Portuguese folk tales in a reinvention of traditional objects.
