"Hope in the Life of Butterflies" is a representation of a butterfly, whose wings (superior and inferior), made from faiance, are glazed and hand-painted.
The pieces are handmade and may show slight variations.
The corrugated cardboard box is wrapped with a paper strap that contains the illustration and synopsis of the short story "Hope in the Life of Butterflies". It tells the story of a taxidermist goose. It concludes that when burdened with weight, one cannot look up to the sky to find hope.

Laboratório d’Estórias is an experimental design space that aims to use popular Portuguese folk tales in a reinvention of traditional objects.
