OLI, in the shape of an olive, is an item that manages to fulfill the great challenge of design, combining aesthetics and functionality, whilst simultaneously being highly practical, which earned it the A’Design Awards Platinum Winner 2016.
OLI is a porcelain object, painted black on the outside, completely glazed and divided horizontally into two equal parts, born from the designer Miguel Pinto Félix's passion for olive trees and oil.
The designer always had the same feeling when he ate olives, he couldn't resist them, but the act of putting the olive in his mouth, removing the flesh, extracting the pit and leaving it exposed in an insipid container, forced him to have this idea.
OLI conveys grace and lightness, joy and sound, an olive tree from Portugal, inspired by Portuguese tradition.
