Liam Gillick, an influential British artist based in New York, presented in Serralves "Campanha", a year-long exhibition, conceived as a series of always different sculptural interventions, shown in the central room and in other spaces of the Serralves Museum. This was Liam Gillick's first exhibition (1964, Aylesbury, United Kingdom) in Portugal and results from a series of visits to the Serralves Museum of Contemporary Art that began in 2013.

Gillick presents an overlap of spatial and performative situations that expand sculptural projects dating from the late 1990s to the present, some of them never executed. Including sound, sculptural pieces and text-based works, Gillick's choreography of spaces, objects and ideas poetically addresses themes such as time, history and duration, in addition to the visual and spatial codes of the social.
