Sinais de Cena magazine occupies a prominent position among publications specializing in theater and performing arts in Portugal. Founded in 2004, it inaugurates a second series, under the seal of the Orfeu Negro editions, with an annual periodicity and a wider distribution.

The first issue is dedicated to the theme «Teatro e Memória» and presents several texts by national and international theorists and artists, with special emphasis on the reflections of researcher and professor Carol Martin, Joana Craveiro, artistic director of Teatro do Vestido, an interview to Mónica Calle and a tribute to Georg Büchner.

Critical essays on performances, along with the thematic dossier and academic articles, continue to structure the identity of this publication, aimed at all those interested in the performing arts
