Volume 1, released in Porto on October 28, 2016, includes a preface by the directors of the two locations (Suzanne Cotter and Valérie Knoll) on the concept of the publication and images of all the works exhibited in Porto and Bern.
Volume 2 (released on February 17, 2017, at the opening of the exhibition in Bern) features curatorial introductions by the two curators and an in-depth essay by Manfred Hermes, in addition to the list of works and bio-bibliography.
Michael Krebber (Cologne, Germany, 1954) is one of the most influential contemporary painters of all time. Exploring the continuous exhaustion, withdrawal, involvement and renewal of painting, the artist's practice is deeply embedded in its history and materials, but characterized as much by the affirmation as by the negation of the medium.
