The seminar dedicated to the theme Integrated infestation control arose from the need for the Serralves Museum to share its day-to-day life with specialists and professionals in the conservation and preservation of contemporary art: researchers, art historians, conservators and curators. the seminar devoted a first moment to the presentation of works developed in the area of scientific research, with communications by Mary-Lou Florian and Patrícia Moreira da Costa.

The constitutions of Jane Thompson-Webb, David Pinniger and Joana Rebordão Anaral led the second moment, providing us with important practical cases of implementation of Integrated Infestation Control in movable and immovable heritage.
