Haegue Yang: An Opaque Wind Park in Six Folds
The publication edited under the Sonae//Serralves Project by the South Korean artist Haegue Yang, a relationship between visual arts, architecture and environment in the unique context of Serralves Museum and Park from 23 June 2016 to 7 June 2017.
Published on the occasion of the work designed specifically for Serralves Park, this amply illustrated book documents the artist's work process, the assembly of the piece in Serralves and its relationship with the surrounding environment.
A selection of photographs throughout the duration of the project were captured and produced in a sticker format, with the purpose of the reader to paste these images into the book or add their own photographs in order to create a personalized calendar.
Born in South Korea in 1971, Haegue Yang lives and works in Berlin, Germany, and Seoul, Korea, teaching Fine Arts at the Malmö Art Academy, Sweden. The artist has presented individual projects and exhibitions at prominent institutions and also represented North Korea at the 53rd Venice Biennale in 2009.
