Ângela Ferreira, having been born in Mozambique and lived in South Africa, is one of the best known young Portuguese artists.

Her work questions, in a particularly critical attitude, historical, social and ideological codes and references through the use of photography, sculpture and video. She participated in important international exhibitions, such as the 1st and 2nd Johannesburg Art Biennials and the 1st Lima Biennial (Perú).
