The Serralves Foundation launched an edition of reusable protective masks, inspired by works by an artist present in the Serralves Collection.
The domains of literature are also frequently explored by the artist in her work, the work that inspires this mask and is present in Serralves' collection belongs to the series of paintings “The Vivian Girls on the Farm” (1984, inspired by the book “ Henry Darger's The Realms of the Unreal) is an example of this. Although based on tales about seven princesses, daughters of Robert Vivian, enslaved and tortured by soldiers, it is, as is usual for the artist, a reinterpretation and not an illustration of the story itself.
The mask is reusable for up to 25 washes, certified by Citeve, with an Antimicrobial, Antifungal and Antibacterial finish.
