Ricardo Valentim (Loulé, Portugal, 1978) is a Portuguese artist living in New York. Since 2006 he has been producing various graphic materials — posters, leaflets, brochures, classroom sheets — as a fundamental part of his work and film presentations.

The book brings together all of Valentim's graphic material over the years and also presents unpublished projects specially conceived for the exhibition in Serralves. Unpublished essays by Ricardo Nicolau (curator of the exhibition) and Isla Leaver-Yap (Benston Visiting Film Scholar at the Walker Art Center in New York).
