Promoted annually by Banco Espírito Santo and the Serralves Foundation, the 7th edition of the BES Revelation Award unanimously selected the projects submitted for competition by Ana de Almeida, Catarina de Oliveira and [De Almeida e Silva, Giestas and Gonçalo Gonçalves].

Consisting of Ana Anacleto (independent artist and curator), Marianne Lanavère (director of La Galerie, Center d'art contemporain, Noisy-le-Sec) and Manuel Segade (independent curator), the jury decided to award three proposals that, in different ways but equally consequential, they are positioned in a territory of reflection on the practice of the image.

The bilingual catalog (Portuguese/English) that accompanies the exhibition includes a selection of works by all the artists on display, an introductory essay by Ana Anacleto (exhibition curator) and unpublished texts by Miguel Castro Caldas, Tozé Constantino and Mike Sperlinger . It also includes biographies of the jury members, authors and artists. Prefaces by Ricardo Espírito Santo Salgado and João Fernandes.
