Photography The Whole Story is a publication that showcases over 1000 illustrations and begins with a succinct overview of photography, placing it in the context of social and cultural developments that have taken place globally since its arrival.

Composed of a set of illustrated and in-depth essays covering all photographic genres, from early portraits and tableaux to digitally manipulated montages, second-rate sporting images and today's conceptual photographs,

It also highlights the ideas and works of the main photographers, revealing what motivated them, who influenced whom and what each one was striving to achieve.

Through the chronological organization, it is possible to understand in a clear way the entire evolution of the photographic style, period by period and movement by movement.

In addition to authoring and co-editing several publications, Juliet Hacking has been MA Program Director in Photography at Sotherby's Institute of Art since 2006.
