The Joan Miró Collection consists of 85 works owned by the State Contemporary Art Collection, entrusted to the Municipality of Porto and housed at the Serralves Foundation.

This collection spans from 1924 to 1981 and includes paintings, sculptures, collages, drawings, and tapestries.

Joan Miró (1893—1983), one of the great "creators of forms" of the 20th century, was also an aesthetic “assassin” who challenged the traditional boundaries of the mediums he worked with.
