The third booklet belonging to the Park Atlas collection
The third booklet belonging to the Park Atlas collection
Park Atlas is an unprecedented collection by the Serralves Foundation that aims to celebrate the biodiversity and natural heritage of the Serralves Park, one of Portugal’s most emblematic green spaces.
This publication takes on significant importance by documenting and celebrating the Park’s natural, ecological and landscape wealth through the presentation of different issues, providing a detailed look at its biodiversity and an integrated vision of the relationship between nature and art, which coexist harmoniously here. Each book will explore a distinctive group that inhabits the Park, seeking to bring the public closer to the natural narrative of this unique space.
The Birds booklet presents the bird species that lives in the Serralves Park, through the photographic record carried out by anthropologist and nature photographer, Jorge Sarmento, and biologist and photographer, Lísia Lopes from the Herbarium at Biology Department at the University of Aveiro.
