Published on the occasion of the inaugural exhibition of the Álvaro Siza Wing, this catalogue allows the reader to take an authentic illustrated journey through the display, highlighting the importance of the relationship between the works and the resonance of the surprising (and improbable) associations among artists from different generations and geographical origins. Additionally, Improbable Anagrams includes essays by curators Philippe Vergne, Inês Grosso, Marta Almeida, Joana Valsassina, and Ricardo Nicolau, who offer various perspectives on the exhibition, as well as on the past and present of the Serralves Collection, pointing towards its possible future.
