The ninth edition of the BES Revelação Award was a joint initiative of the Serralves Foundation and Banco Espírito Santo to promote new artistic talents in Portugal, in which it presented the projects of Diogo Evangelista, Nádia Rodrigues Ribeiro and André Romão.

The artists were selected by an international jury that distinguished the experimental character, originality and solidity of their reflections on the representative, symbolic and discursive nature of the photographic image in its expanded mode.

The bilingual catalog (Portuguese/English) includes a selection of works by the artists, a text by Filipa Ramos, curator of the exhibition and a preface by Suzanne Cotter, director of the Serralves Museum. It also includes unpublished essays by Andrew Berardini, Sofia Silva and Margarida Mendes, as well as biographies of all participants.
