Continuing the analysis of the problematic notion of home that permeates all of Shibli's work, the new series reveals the celebration and perpetuation of the absent as a form of resistance by Palestinian society to disappearance.

In addition to a selection of images from all previous series, the book includes an essay by anthropologist Esmail Nashif on the deep rootedness of death in Palestinian life and a critical review of Shibli's work by TJ Demos.
