Catalog published on the occasion of Pedro Barateiro's exhibition at Casa de Serralves from 18 July to 27 September 2009 with texts by Pedro Barateiro, Ricardo Nicolau and Raimundas Malasauskas.

This is an unprecedented perspective on the Casa de Serralves under the responsibility of the young Portuguese artist, with a remarkable international background – he participated, for example, in the latest editions of the Berlin and Sidney Biennials.

Pedro Barateiro is one of the artists who has used archival images the most in his works, namely propaganda films commissioned by the Estado Novo, about engineering works, architecture, educational exhibitions or everyday life in the colonies. He pays special attention to the way documents, artefacts and artistic objects were presented throughout the 20th century.
