On the occasion of the exhibition Wish You Were Gay, Kunsthaus Bregenz is publishing a zine designed by the artist in close collaboration with the London design studio Zak Group. Like the exhibition, the zine also touches on the artist’s biography. Available in three different colors, the publication brings together visual and literary art materials from the years 2001–03. It not only serves as a companion to the exhibition but also provides intimate insights into the early phase of Anne Imhof’s artistic career, in which her life and work were particularly closely linked. This pre-social-media period, when the personal was truly political, saw Imhof balancing her life in shifts as an artist, club bouncer, and young mother. Includes poster.
