Vol I: Problems of Economics, Architecture and Management of Humanized Landscapes
Vol I: Problems of Economics, Architecture and Management of Humanized Landscapes
This book is primarily aimed at landscape architecture professionals, but is also of great interest to agronomists, land economists, territorial planners, geographers, environmental engineers, biologists, foresters, ecologists, politicians, decision-makers, entrepreneurs and managers.
It is also essential reading for active citizens involved in the defense of natural and built heritage, biodiversity, nature conservation, energy and landscape quality. The author highlights the importance of the landscape as productive, inseparable from its true beauty, for those who take citizenship seriously and critically analyze the country.
Ilídio Alves de Araújo 1925-2015, Celorico da Beira, was born into a farming family in Celorico de Basto. He studied agronomy and landscape architecture, with a final paper on agricultural ethnography and landscape planning in his home village. He helped define the country's first protected area, the Mindelo Ornithological Reserve. We also owe him the winding access road to Bom Jesus.
