Light cork is a naturally elegant and versatile material that has been used to make wine bottle stoppers since the 17th century. Cork gives the piece a soft, tactile texture and is a sustainable and environmentally friendly material.

The Terroir Collection is inspired by the materials at the heart of wine making and preservation. They are part of its long history.

Each of the three pieces is made from unique pieces of oak, light cork or pure black cork.

The texture and patterns of the oak are reminiscent of wine barrels, while the cork pieces evoke the hundreds of years this material has been used to protect and preserve wine.

As these are natural materials, each CEPA piece is unique and can vary in colour, tone and texture.

This product has a positive ecological footprint, as the limited emissions generated in the production of each piece are offset more than 50 times through certified tree planting. In addition, the materials used in its production are 100% recyclable and highly durable.

Clean with a soft, smooth, dry cloth, free from stains or dirt.

Available in two models, adjusted to the diameter of the bottle base: 72–80 mm (Bordalesa, Bordeaux, Reno, Porto) and 81–90 mm (Burgundy).

CEPA is a wine bottle coaster, including to Port, developed by the architects Pedro Geraldes and Nuno Travasso, that contributes to a new form of presentation and serving ritual, interconnecting the bottle, the cork stopper and the wine, with materials that are at the origin of its production and conservation.

CEPA is crafted from a single piece of solid wood or cork, in which two intersecting cavities are cut out: one for the bottle, another for the stopper. The deliberate asymmetry of the cavities allows it to be transported, in a stable way, with the left hand, while the wine is served with the right. On the table, these voids are filled by the two elements that protect and preserve the wine - the cork and the bottle - now enriched by the textures and aromas that trace their roots back to the wine's origin and preservation.

CEPA is a piece in which the nobility of the woods and the historical importance of the Portuguese cork, combined with the wisdom of the hands of the local artisans, are combined with wine through the simplicity of the design.
