Pin:Pin is a hybrid, modular and multifunctional object that can function as a game, a decorative object or a sculptural piece. The project was awarded first place in the “Creatives, Designers and Brands” Open Call 2025 by the Serralves Shop.

It is composed of geometric elements connected by magnets, 3D printed using plant-based filaments and manually covered in leather.

Each colour symbolises an emotion — Joy, Love, Tranquillity and Trust, as well as Sadness, Anxiety, Anger and Shame — allowing for expressive and ever-changing configurations.

Used individually, each element becomes a functional and/or decorative object, such as a vase, desk organiser or key holder, shaped by the user’s imagination.

ASA Leather Work is a Lisbon-based atelier founded by architect Stéphanie Branco, dedicated to the creation of leather objects using vegetable-tanned leather, produced in a 100% artisanal process. The studio combines traditional techniques — such as hand saddle stitching with two needles and leather covering (gainerie) — with contemporary technologies, including 3D printing with plant-based filaments. The brand received the Design Award 2024, has exhibited at Milan Design Week, and has been featured in numerous national and international publications, including Design Boom, A’Design Award, Made in Portugal Naturally, Fashion Network, Lux Woman, Revista Style and Mood – Museum of Design.

The “Creatives, Designers and Brands” Open Call 2025, promoted by the Serralves Shop, brought together around 200 applications from designers, collectives, artists and brands presenting innovative proposals across fashion, accessories and decorative objects. The initiative prioritised creativity, visual identity and ecological awareness, reflecting the vitality and diversity of contemporary design in Portugal.

The aim of this open call was to contribute to the promotion of Portuguese design by encouraging the creation of original products connected to art, visual culture and sustainability. The winning projects stand out for their originality, innovation, sustainability, commercial potential and strong alignment with the Serralves universe.
