Considered one of the most prominent Portuguese architects and designers, Daciano da Costa was born in Lisbon in 1930. He attended the António Arroio School of Decorative Arts and the School of Fine Arts in Lisbon, later becoming the head of the country's first degree in Design Architecture. Architect, designer, entrepreneur and educator, he was known as “the pope of Portuguese design.”
