António Barros, born in Funchal, studied at the University of Coimbra and at the Faculty of Fine Arts of the University of Barcelona. He worked in the 70s with Wolf Vostell, Alberto Carneiro and José Ernesto de Sousa. He participated in numerous group exhibitions and held several solo exhibitions. His artistic work is represented in the collection of the Serralves Museum.
