A scarf in which the colors red and white predominate. Consisting of a particularly fine texture as it is made from a Chinese twill, well known for its high quality. Hand-screen-printed and finished in hand-rolled edges.
The scarf is part of a portfolio called Papercut created by Ai Weiwei and published by Taschen 2019, and is inspired by the colorful pieces of cut-out paper, which are often used to tell stories during holidays and prayers, and as an everyday decoration, tradition which has 2000 years of history.

The exhibition Entrelaçar/Intertwine by Ai Weiwei, shown in Serralves from July 2021 to June 2022 reflects the artist's concern with the environment and with the deforestation of the Brazilian Atlantic Forest, in particular.
