Over the past two decades, Francis Alÿs has traveled to more than 15 countries around the world to film children's games – from "musical chairs" in Mexico to "leapfrog" in Iraq, "jump rope" in Hong Kong, and "1, 2, 3, Freeze!" in London. Capturing the universality and creativity of play, this series highlights social interactions that are increasingly disappearing due to rapid urbanization, the erosion of communities, and the growing dominance of digital entertainment.
