"Dancing with my Camera" is the most comprehensive exhibition dedicated to renowned artist Dayanita Singh to date. The show spans her entire career, from her initial project centered on the music of percussionist Zakir Hussain to her most recent works, such as "Let's See" (2021), inspired by the shape of the contact sheet. The exhibition highlights the formal originality characteristic of Singh's work, highlighting his unique vision on themes such as archiving, disappearance, music, dance, architecture, gender and friendship.
The exhibition "Dancing with my Camera" takes place at the Serralves Museum of Contemporary Art between November 2023 and May 2024. In collaboration with Gropius Bau, Villa Stuck Museum, Munich and MUDAM - Musée d'Art Moderne Grand-Duc Jean, and curated by Stephanie Rosenthal.
