"Dan has such rich expressions on his face. It was interesting to see the change in his facial expression. He was charming." - Mieko Meguro
The exclusive Dan Graham Collection is launched in parallel with the "Not Post-Modernism: Dan Graham and 20th Century Architecture" exhibition, taking place at the Serralves Museum of Contemporary Art from October 2023 to March 2024. The exhibition serves as a tribute from eight architects admired by the artist himself.
Dan Graham was a protagonist of 20th-century art, the author of a multifaceted and unparalleled body of work, including critical texts, poetry, performance, sculpture, media installations, films, videos, and photography. In the mid-1960s, Graham revolutionized what was understood as artistic production and the role of the spectator.
